02About the Role

Frame.io is seeking an experienced VP of Product Marketing to own the strategy for communicating our value to the video market. Given our product’s speed, delightful experience, and deep bench of integrations, our customers cite a 60% faster workflow from the time the director yells “cut!” to the time a complete video lands in its final viewing destination. Along with your team, you’ll craft narratives and content that help get our target market excited about how Frame.io can transform their workflow.

Today we offer video collaboration products for self-serve and enterprise segments. In this role, you’ll bring your talent as a product marketer to the planning and implementation of Frame.io’s overall go-to-market strategy for both buyer segments. Critically, you will work with marketing leadership to develop and execute on a thesis for how we position our self-serve and enterprise businesses to maximize value. You’ll inherit a talented team of 2 individuals and will be instrumental in hiring to scale the team in 2020 and beyond.

This is a highly cross-functional role in which you will work closely with marketing, product, sales and executive leadership to translate our product features and vision into powerful marketing that authentically communicates the Frame.io value and brand. You will become an expert on the product, leading a team that shows off industry use cases, demos the product, and provides the Product team with feedback for future releases. At the same time, you will lead a team that works with Sales to develop customer relationships and tell their stories with compelling case studies and videos. You will be a key leader within the marketing organization who helps ensure that the full team is acting against a common and accretive strategy. You’ll inspire each individual to execute to the best of their ability and foster a welcoming and high-performing culture.

 

03Responsibilities

  • Identify, define, and measure our target markets for our self-serve and enterprise products
  • Establish and lead a product marketing strategy for Frame.io's self-serve and enterprise segments
  • Support the product marketing team in developing and tracking quarterly objectives and key results
  • Scale the product marketing team with strategic, quality hires (3 new headcount in 2020)
  • Inspire and elicit the best work from each individual on the product marketing team and retain our best talent
  • Establish and execute against marketing targets (self-serve active usage and enterprise pipeline) with sound fiscal judgment

  • You’ve done this before. You’ve led a successful SaaS product marketing team through a period of rapid growth.
  • You’re an inspiring leader. You can elicit the best work from your team and align everyone around a shared goal.
  • You’re a strong communicator. You proactively share strategy/performance updates and get others excited about new ideas
  • Willing to dig in and do the hands-on work work when necessary. Nothing inspires respect more than being able to dive into the details with your team.
  • A mix of creative and analytical. You’ll lean on the strength of your team in both areas, but you can clearly communicate about great design, and you rely on data first when making strategic decisions.

 

05Experience

  • 10+ years of marketing experience; 4+ years in a Director or VP Product Marketing role at a SaaS company
  • A great eye for design; you’ve worked closely with designers and developers in the past and know your way around today’s popular design creation and review tools
  • A powerful story teller; you know how to connect product features to customer emotions
  • A track record of successfully leading and mentoring a team of 5 or more
  • You know how to manage large-scale collaborative projects under tight deadlines without sacrificing quality
  • Familiarity with building champion/buyer personas, customer segmentation and market-sizing
  • You’ve successfully supported a global sales team with tailored content
